Add Data to your Video - with your own Hardware or our
DAQ Kit

MiDAS 4.0 is a software package. Users can now add their
own data acquisition hardware to utilize the synchronized data/video
feature. Xcitex is a strategic partner of National
Instruments - the world's largest and foremost supplier
of data acquisition boards, boxes and accessories.
Of course, if you do not already own National Instruments
hardware, you can purchase prepackaged DAQ Hardware Kits from
Xcitex. We have already assembled these kits for various bus
platforms - PCI, PCMCIA and USB2 (coming soon). We make the
jumpers for you and even apply labels to the breakout boxes
to assist you with your connections.

Supported NI hardware
MiDAS currently works with the E-series and soon with the
new M-series of low-cost, muli-channel DAQ hardware from National
Instruments. The supported hardware configurations are shown
in the following chart:

If you purchase your own hardware for use with
MiDAS, your MiDAS User Guide will provide the correct jumper
settings for the supported hardware. Xcitex warrants performance
of data only with hardware supplied by Xcitex.

Prepackaged DAQ Hardware Kits
Xcitex makes DAQ easiest with our prepackaged DAQ Hardware
Kits. Each kit includes all the plug & play hardware (e.g.
boards, cables, breakout boxes, labels, etc.) so that all you
need to do is run the software. Our prepackaged kits are all
genuine hardware from National Instruments with a full National
Instruments warranty. Prepackaged kits are the best option
for users that are just starting with MiDAS because we take
all the responsbility for integration and performance.
